If you have worn a uniform, worked the front lines, stood in a classroom, or answered a call when others could not, this post is for you.
At Aspen Grove Realty, we believe the people who give the most to our communities deserve more than a handshake and a thank you. That is why we are proud to participate in the Homes for Heroes program and why we think every hero dreaming of making Montana home should know exactly what this program can do for them.
What Is Homes for Heroes?
Homes for Heroes was founded in the wake of September 11, 2001 as a way to give something meaningful back to the people who protect and serve us every single day. It is a nationwide program that provides real, tangible savings to heroes when they buy or sell a home.
Heroes who qualify include veterans, active duty military, reservists, law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, healthcare professionals, and teachers.
What Does "Up to 30% Back" Actually Mean?
When you purchase a home with a Homes for Heroes affiliate agent, you can receive up to 30% back from your buyer agent compensation at closing. On average, heroes save approximately $3,000 through the program. This is not a discount on service. You receive the full attention and expertise of a dedicated buyer's agent. The savings come back to you as a thank you for what you do.
Beyond individual savings, the Homes for Heroes Foundation has donated over $1.7 million in grants to heroes in need.
Meet Kali Hinrichs — The Only Homes for Heroes Affiliate in the Bitterroot Valley
Our own Kali Hinrichs is the only Homes for Heroes affiliate agent in the Bitterroot Valley, and she came to this work with a personal connection that runs deep.
Kali's husband served in the Marine Corps, including combat deployment. When the Hinrichs family made their own leap from Oregon to Montana in 2021, Kali lived the experience that so many of her clients are navigating right now: figuring out a new state, a new community, and what home actually means when your roots are somewhere else. That perspective shapes how she works with every buyer, especially those relocating from out of state.
She is also an active member of the Bitterroot Land Trust's outreach committee, committed to conservation efforts in the valley she now calls home.
When Kali says she is passionate about helping heroes achieve the dream of homeownership in Montana, she means it in the most personal way possible.
Are You a Hero? Here Is How to Get Started.
Reach out to Kali directly. There is no obligation, no pressure, and no catch. Just a team that genuinely wants to help you find your place in one of the most beautiful valleys in the country.
